5/09/09 Boy the things you learn being the 'IT' guy. I had a mometary lapse, (mostly because getting hit with 27 boxes of new yarn in one week will make you a little crazy), and let the domain name slip. Oops. Renewed it immediately with the domain people in New Orleans, and am told that gee, there is nothing they can do, it is out of their hands, and so for 48 hours there will be an advertisement for their company on my site saying site under construction. Hmm. It is the 'webs' fault. Problem is, if you type in our alternate name: borealisyarns.net our site comes up. Hmm. apparently the web is funny that way. Funny thing, hmm? By the way, the hosting company is in Minnesota, great guys, always helpful. Inet7.com. I do recomend them. But New Orleans? The sympathy for rebuilding their economy post-katrina is wearing thin.

2/18/9It's been a busy couple of weeks. We had Nora Murphy come for a book signing event Knitting the Threads of Time, and yes, we were mentioned in the book. If you missed it, her website has more dates, and she is also going to be downtown at Borealis too on March 12 at 12 noon.

We also just got in Smooshy but are currently straightening out some problems with what may be a 'off' batch, so you will not find much in the store. Keep posted, we all love that yarn so much that a delay in gratifcation just makes seeing the new colors all the better.

2/03/09 Winter's back after last weekend's lovely balmy temperatures, but at least we are getting lovely new cottons in to remind us that Spring really is coming.

To hold us over until the warm weather and serious cotton knitting, we have finally come up with a pattern for that lovely Recycled Silk from Frabjous Fibers. Stop in and take alook, or show up for the Class tomorrow on Wednesday night.

1/13/09 Two Announcements! Classes are up on the web, and Borealis too has its own web-site. Borealis too site is in the beginning stages, but will look professional. I was told by a web designer that this page looked BLAH. Sniff. I thought it was an odd way to get me to sign up with a service, but what do I know? Maybe critiquing someone's labor of love works as a sales technique. Oh Wait... it did... I signed up Borealis too......
