Life is good

Life is good. Sometimes we forget that.

I spent time last night with friends sitting around and knitting. Lots of laughs, mostly about the fact I was now on my seventh pair of converse shoes for next month’s free class.

Yes, I’ve lost my mind, but maybe that’s good. I sometimes get too wrapped up in all the little tasks I need to complete, and the time pressure of getting x, y, and z done and forget why I ever thought knitting tennis shoes was a good idea. Maybe, just maybe, because it made me smile.

Returning to my childhood

I’ve decided I am returning to my childhood. JJ at Borealis too has been fascinated by Knit Graffiti. I’ve always thought it interesting, but okay. Recent attention has been paid by the media , although I was hardly impressed, Then I flashed on that image of childhood in New York: the mysterious sneakers up in the skies. So now I am obsessed, and am happily making as many pairs from my childhood as I can. Who knows..stealthy little old blue-haired ladies occasionally might have a sense of fun.

If you’d care to join me in this crusade, Converses are the free class for September.
